Hungry for some artistic inspiration?

This exhibition for children is sure to whet your appetite. Featuring artwork inspired by food and full with hands on activities for children and their families ... this is a feast for your eyes.

A highlight of the exhibition is a knitted Tea Party by Tauranga artist Jacquelyn Greenbank, featuring an assortment of knitted lamingtons, sausage rolls and pavlova among other foodie delights which is on loan from Christchurch Art Gallery.

Another feature of the exhibition is a portrait by artist Maurice Bennett, known as the 'Toastman'. Maurice creates art using pieces of toast and has made portraits of many famous people such as the New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, rugby legend Jonah Lomu, the Mona Lisa and Elvis Presley.
