New Zealand School of Music presents

Wednesday 19 September 2012 | 7.30pm

Five Wellington harpists and friends are delighted to be presenting a programme with something for everyone. Four harp students from the New Zealand School of Music will be joined by their teacher Carolyn Mills (principal harpist for the NZSO) in this unique one-off concert. Spanning centuries and continents, the repertoire will include traditional Celtic tunes, exciting New Zealand compositions (including Gareth Farr's fabulous Taheke), with a dash of French, American and Japanese thrown in. Multiple harps plus flutes and who-knows-what-else will surprise and delight you with sounds of this beguiling instrument, and help support the students in their fundraising to attend the 'Adelaide Harp Festival' at the end of September.

Perfomers will include Carolyn Mills, Madeleine Griffiths, Anita Huang, Jennifer Newth, and Michelle Velvin on harps.
