Inbal Megiddo cello & Jian Liu piano

Israeli cellist Inbal Megiddo and Chinese-American pianist Jian Liu recently arrived in Wellington to take up teaching posts at the New Zealand School of Music. Their programme is an eclectic mix of musical ages and styles ranging from an 18th-century Boccherini sonata to music by the Estonian, Arvo Pärt, one of the world’s foremost living composers.

Both artists come with impressive performance reputations: Inbal Megiddo has appeared in such venues as the Kennedy Center, Washington, Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Berlin Philharmonie. Jian Liu has given concerts in China, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United States.
