An open invitation is being offered by local artist Johanna King to 'en plein aire', meaning 'to paint in the open air' in a series of art sessions inspired by early Pumpkin Cottage artists.

This is an opportunity to paint and sketch outdoors, to revisit and paint our beautiful local landscapes, the same locations and views that the artists featured in our exhibition Pumpkin Cottage: Preserving Our Artistic Heritage.

Artists must provide all their own materials and are free to choose any medium and paint/sketch/photograph in their own style and way. This will be the first painting expedition. Meet at the Barton Road entrance to Trentham Memorial Park.

If the weather is wet, then this event will be postponed to another weekend.
