In order to pay the mortgage, Fortunato and his wife turned their house by the beach into a summer hotel. A bitter woman, Mrs Misterfair and her gang of freaks, living in a lighthouse plan to destroy the life of her childhood sweetheart, Fortunato, who has now completely forgotten her. Mrs Misterfair rents a room with the intention of scaring the other hotel guests and replace them with members of her gang, thus ruining Fortunato's chance to save his house. That Thing You Love is an aesthetic and humorous adventure that portraits evil as a consequence of unrequited love and the incapacity of understanding reality beyond one's fears.
AWARDS
THAT THING YOU LOVE had its world premier in October 2013 at the BUSAN International Film Festival in Korea, at the 'Flash Forward' section, an area for 'original films and new directors full of potential', and it was among the short list of 11 films nominated for the audience award, supported by Busan Bank.
