WELLINGTON REGIONAL ARTS REVIEW

Wellington Regional Arts Review is a juried exhibition selected by independent judges from over 150 submissions by artists living and working in the Greater Wellington Region (including Kapiti and Wairarapa).

The judges selection is representative of the submissions which included paintings, photography, textiles based works, ceramics, drawings and sculpture from a range of established artists, students and first time exhibitors.

 

The Judges:

Mark Amery:  visual arts critic for the Dominion Post, journalist and broadcaster.

Aaron Lister: curator New Zealand Art, City Gallery, Wellington

Julie Catchpole:  director, Suter Gallery, Nelson

 

Prizes:

Overall winner - $1,000

Two merit awards - $200 each

People's Choice Award – Artist in Feature exhibition in the Vector Gallery at Expressions in 2013.

 

Important Dates:

Friday 18 May

Exhibition Opening at Expressions, 7pm

Sunday 27 May 

Judges’ Floor talk- the judges talk about their choices

Sunday 1 July

Final day, People's Choice Award announcement 3pm in the Mount Marua Gallery.
