Join us for a very special night as we honour with music the life of Phil Hope—a gifted musician, a generous teacher, a good friend, and above all, a truly decent human being. 

Phil was a master of stringed instruments, especially the mandolin, and a beloved figure in the Wellington music scene. He spent most of his life in the Hutt Valley, sharing his passion as a dedicated music teacher and playing in many bands alongside some of the country’s finest musicians. His warmth, talent, and friendship left an indelible mark on so many. 

Now, his fellow musicians—including some well-known names—are coming together to celebrate Phil’s legacy the best way we know how: through music. Expect an evening filled with songs Phil would have loved and played, performed by those who were lucky enough to share a stage with him.

All proceeds from this concert will go directly to those Phil left behind. 

Let’s come together to celebrate a life well lived, a friend well loved, and a musician who will never be forgotten.
