Theatre Etiquette

We invite you to relax, enjoy the show, while following our simple theatre etiquette to help everyone have a great experience.

Before the show

  • Arrive early: Allow enough time to find parking, use the restroom, and find your seat without being rushed.
  • Silence your phone: Switch it off completely or, at a minimum, put it on silent or airplane mode. Turn off any alarms, and do not use it to text or check emails during the performance.
  • Use the restroom: It is best to go before the show begins to avoid interrupting the performance for yourself and others.

During the performance

  • Stay quiet: Do not talk to your companions, sing along, or make noise with wrappers. Leave that for the trip home.
  • No filming or photos: Do not take photos or videos during the show, even without a flash, as this is distracting to performers and other audience members.
  • Remain seated: Stay in your seat throughout the performance unless absolutely necessary. If you must leave, do so during a break or applause and be as quiet as possible.

Intermission

  • Most shows will allow for an intermission. If leaving the show prior to a break period please ensure you have your ticket with you for reentry to the theatre.

If you have any questions prior to or during an event please ask one of the friendly ushers who will be located at the theatre doors and at various points around the building for assistance.
