Four on the Floor: Taking a line for a walk

Drawing can be many things: a gesture, a trace of thought, a record of movement, or a way of understanding the world. In this exhibition, artists Gill Newland, Sam Dollimore, Sarah Albisser, and Yavanna den Harder explore the possibilities of drawing through works that are expressive, intuitive, and deeply individual.

Inspired by artist Paul Klee’s famous phrase, “A drawing is simply a line going for a walk.” the exhibition treats drawing not as preparation for something else, but as an artwork in itself. Together, these works invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and experience the many possibilities of the drawn line.
